The Holy Scriptures Series
Revelation, Inspiration, Illumination, Infallibility, Inerrancy, Sufficiency
When God reveals to us truth that we would not otherwise know it is called “revelation”. God supernaturally reveals Himself to us through the written word. The revelation given in Scripture tells humanity everything that it needs to know about God and His plan.
Scripture is literally, “God-breathed”. Man wrote down that which God wanted written. Jeff and Jen explore how God gave us this gift of an inspired, God-breathed book.
Have you ever wished you had someone to explain all the how’s and what’s that are hard to understand and even harder to apply to our lives? In this episode, Pastor Jeff discusses the method of Illumination used by the Holy Spirit to bring divine light upon every seeking person as we look into the Word of God.
Have you ever wondered “How do I know what God wants me to do?” The answer the Christian faith offers is "the Bible; the Word of God". In this episode, Jeff considers the infallibility of the Word of God. The Bible is incapable of error and therefore is absolutely trustworthy.
In this episode, Pastor Jeff and Jen dive into the theological concept of inerrancy. The Bible always tells the truth concerning everything it talks about. Christians believe we have a perfect Bible because we have a perfect God. We believe we have a trustworthy Bible because we have a trustworthy God.
In this episode, Pastor Jeff tackles a topic frequently discussed among people, both young and old: determining God’s will. How can we know what God wants us to do? The first step is to turn to God’s Word. Jeff and Jen discuss the question, “Is Scripture sufficient for what I need to know in this life?”
Pastor Jeff answers a few questions that were submitted during the Holy Scriptures series.
